Why I Care So Much About Doctors

Like many of you, I once thought I might never be able to retire and would have to work right up until the moment I died. However, I try to live up to the phrase, “Always learning and forever grateful for my blessings.”

I never knew how hard that might be until three years ago when I came down with Stage 3c colon cancer. Surgery and a 30-day hospital stay were followed by a period of learning how to deal with my external tubes and drains, then six months of chemo, and, finally, the exhilaration of having clean scans! I had beaten the cancer!

With the help of my Oncologist, I now get the Signatera blood test every 90 days, and every one has shown 0.00 MICROSCOPIC particles that match the DNA of my cancer. To me, that's even better than clean scans!

THIS is why I care so much about giving back to the people who saved my life!
